About the trip

Going back to the Maldives after hosting my very first dive trip here, we are elevating the Maldivian scuba experience to a new level!

Cruising on a luxury liveaboard, we will explore the sharkiest atolls of the archipelago.

Known for its channel dives with strong currents, the Maldivian deep south offers the most exciting scuba encounters: SHARKS!

Throughout our journey, we may encounter up to 10 shark species, including grey reef sharks, silver tips, tiger sharks, whale sharks, potential threshers and more.

Discover the ultimate Maldivian scuba diving experience and join me on the Deep South to Addu atoll route!

Dates: March 22-29th 2025

Deep South route

The prime season for diving in the southern Maldivian atolls is from December to April, ideal for shark encounters at incredible dive spots between the Suvadiva and Addu atolls.

Escaping the central atolls and going south to Addu, Fuvahmulah, and Suvadiva, we’ll have the chance to spot some of the Indian Ocean’s largest residents.

We’re speaking tiger sharks, silver tips, grey reefs, whale sharks, oceanic manta rays and more.

In Fuvahmulah, we may encounter tiger, silky, silver tip and even thresher sharks.

We do include the famous Tiger Zoo dive with our local partners at Fuvamulah Dive School.

Southern atolls

At Suvadiva, one of the deepest lagoons in the Maldives, the currents and channels are ideal for even more shark sightings including, hopefully, whale sharks, silky sharks,  hammerheads and grey sharks.

Some of the world class oceanic channels on our dive plan are:

  • Vilingili Channel
  • Nilandhoo Channel
  • Maahreha Channel
  • Lonudhutta Thila
  • Fuvahmulah Drop Off
  • Addu Manta Point

Please keep in mind that dive sites will be picked according to ocean conditions.

Shark sightings cannot be guaranteed as the ocean is a wild place.
